I believe that artistic inspiration is out there in the atmosphere available to us all. It’s just a matter of awareness and observation in noticing the world around us. This is something that I’ve developed just by participating in life with my five senses.
In applying this inspiration to my artistic practice, my work is often driven by the connection I’ve make with my topic. As each piece of my artwork develops and my connection to it deepens, I somehow become detached from myself, my hands moving faster than my mind; I am reduced to the simple transporter of the message that first inspired me.
My artwork is also medium driven; I relish the random intention each brush stroke instills in the creation of my art.
The human energy imparted by the viewers of my artwork feeds a part of the inspiration I am forever discovering. I pick up on the reaction of each individual to my paintings. The observers' emotional and spiritual connection to my work infuses a synergy into each piece of art I produce.
