A piece I created for my In Transit Exhibition at The Art Gallery of Peterborough, 2010. Mixed media, Encaustic medium and pigments painted on birch panel. I generally paint from my own photographs. I took this shot as the subway was entering High Park station in Toronto. The blurred image of the figure on the platform speaks of the anonymity of mass transit travel in a large metropolis.
